Banner 8 Upgrade - Downtime

Banner (PROD) will be unavailable from 5pm on 28-04-10 until 04-05-10. A read-only instance will be available during this period.

The Project team, members will upgrade the Corporate Student Administration system Banner to version 8 over the weekend of the May Day Bank Holiday.

The Banner system will only be available on a "read only" basis from 5pm on the evening of Wednesday 28th April, and any updating must be completed before then. Migration of data to Banner 8, system testing and final user testing will be carried out over the following 5 days. It is expected that, provided the upgrade goes to plan, users will be given access to the new system on a phased basis on Tuesday 4 May. Confirmation of when you can start to use the new version will be emailed to users on the day and an announcement will be made on Campusweb.

We are aware that this down time is far from ideal and apologise to everyone for this. The upgrade will be completed as quickly as possible and further updates will be provided as appropriate.
