802.1x client for loan/shared laptops (no password caching)
This tool is available to configure for shared and loan laptops that Faculties may supply to their students.
You can obtain the application from the official site
Please perform a standard install using all the default values, which will disable any existing 802.1x clients.
When running the application, please use the following as guidance:
- Click on Connection
- Highlight Edit Configuration
- Click New Connection
- Click Next
- Highlight eduroam
- Click Next
- Click through EAP type as EAP-PEAP
- Untick Validate Server Certificate
- Click Next
- Untick Use Logon credentials
- Click on Next leaving Prompt for credentials selected
- Click through to the end of the install and test
