eduroam auto-configuration tool
The 'eduroam' wireless service may require complex user configuration, in particular Windows XP/Vista devices.
- 'eduroam' relies on cached user credentials and so may not be the ideal solution for a shared/pool laptop
- The user installing this tool requires ADMIN rights on the PC
Instructions are available to users, but this easy tool will automatically apply the 'eduroam' configuration for Windows XP/Vista devices.
Instructions for use of tool:
- Download the tool to your desktop
- Double click the tool
- Read the instructions
- Click 'Install'
- Once installation complete, click 'Exit'
- Open your wireless network and choose 'eduroam'
- A window will pop up asking for your username and password
- Enter it as either username@leeds.ac.uk or username@admin.leeds.ac.uk if you are from Central Admin
- You will automatically log onto the 'eduroam' network wherever it is available
- If you change your username, you will need to download and run removeEAPinfo.reg and then start at task 1 and re-install the 'eduroam' config (the ZIP file is required as .reg files are not supported on this page)
