'eduroam' for mobile devices
'eduroam' for Android
These
instructions explain how to connect a generic Android device to the
eduroam wireless network. If you have a device running a different OS you should select
the appropriate instructions, not these.
1. Make sure you are within range of University wireless services before you start this process
2. Click on the applications button from the home screen
3. Go to Settings
4. Select Wireless and Networks from the list
5. From the next menu, select Wi-Fi settings
6. The device will scan for wireless services, and should list them - including eduroam. Select it
7. Scroll down a little, and enter your username@leeds.ac.uk or username@admin.leeds.ac.uk in the Identity box, and your current password in the Password box. Then select Connect
8. If successful the status will change to Connected shortly and when in use, the wireless icon will appear in the status bar at the top
9. You should now be connected to eduroam
10. Android will connect to the wireless service when it is available and required
