Upgrade to Microsoft Exchange 2007 - Completed

ActiveSync Replaces Outlook Mobile Access

View pages in this section

Microsoft has withdrawn support for Outlook Mobile Access (OMA) with Exchange 2007. Therefore from the 2nd February 2009, will no longer work.

If you are using a mobile phone to send and receive emails there are better alternatives than OMA.

ISS has documented how to access Exchange email from the two most common devices - Windows Mobile 6.x and the Apple iPhone. A document is available which explains how to use ActiveSync on mobile devices to access email.

Exchange 2007 will support IMAP as a method of accessing email. Many mobile phones have IMAP clients available, either built into them or available as separate downloads. Please consult the manual that came with your phone or visit the website of your phone's manufacturer for more information.
