Do not click on links in phishing emails or respond to them. Remember - if you are not sure if an email is genuine, contact the Help Desk.

Phishing email with subject 'Upgrade your account' and signature 'Michael Arthur, Vice-Chancellor' which asks you to click on a link. - August 2010
Phishing email with subject 'Your mailbox storage has been exceeded' which appears to come from isshelp@leeds.ac.uk - April 2010
Phishing email with subject 'Webmaster server Upgrade 2010'. - March 2010
Phishing email seeming to come from hmrc.gov.uk asking for your bank details in order to issue a refund, with a title such as 'Please Submit Your Refund Payment'. It may have an attached form for you to fill in.
Never fill in attached forms asking for your personal details.
Phishing email has a subject line 'REACTIVATE YOUR MAIL ACCOUNT' and asks you to reply to the email address 'web_accountupgrade@engineer.com'. The University will never ask for your credentials this way. If you have replied to this email, pleae contact the ISS Help Desk immediately.
